Ukrainian defenses in Kostyantynivka, Donetsk Oblast, are buckling under Russian pressure, affecting the entire Kramatorsk–Sloviansk area, Roman Pohorilyi, co-founder and analyst for the OSINT project DeepState, told NV Radio on Aug. 5.

“We are losing Kostyantynivka; we literally have huge problems there,” Pohorilyi said.

“Those problems are flowing into Druzhkivka, Oleksiievo

He said Russian forces recently failed to break through near Lyman, so they are concentrating efforts elsewhere and planning next moves.

“We have a very difficult situation now around Hryshyne; we are not even talking about Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad — they have long been occupied, we lost them, and the enemy has concentrated forces there,” the analyst added.

“We are already talking about the agglomeration. They are moving into and beyond Hryshyne. There is big pressure there because of a large concentration of enemy forces. We also have activity around Rodynske, where the enemy is having successes and applying heavy pressure thanks to that concentration.”
