A Russian jet-powered drone struck a residential area in Kharkiv’s Slobidskyi district overnight on October 22, Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported.

The attack sparked a fire, though preliminary information indicates there were no casualties.

“An outbuilding is on fire, and several private houses have been damaged,” Terekhov wrote.

The mayor later reported that a second Russian drone hit downtown Kharkiv.

“A strike hit the central part of the city, in the Osnovianskyi district. We are currently assessing the aftermath,” Terekhov wrote.

Russian forces previously struck Kharkiv on October 20, targeting the city’s Novobavarskyi district. The attack damaged multiple houses and local businesses, injuring nine people.

Three people were wounded in Kharkiv on October 17 following a Russian missile attack on the city’s Slobidskyi and Osnovianskyi districts.
