The Russian military attacked Odesa Oblast with missiles on the night of Aug. 17, leaving three people injured, spokesman for Odesa regional administration Serhiy Bratchuk said in a post on Telegram.

He noted that according to the Ukrainian military’s South Operational Command, the Russians launched two missiles at the oblast.
The missile strikes caused destruction and fire at a Ukrainian coastal resort and several private buildings nearby. The rescue operation continues.
An air raid alert was in effect in Odesa Oblast from 02:49 a.m. to 03:24 a.m.
Earlier, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi stated that the deployment of missile systems along the state border on the side of Belarus, in particular at the Ziabrovka airfield, was cause for concern.
