Russian missile strike targets local businesses in Poltava Oblast, two wounded

Russian forces carried out ballistic missile strikes on local enterprises in Poltava Oblast, wounding two people, regional governor Vitaliy Dyakivnych reported on July 1.

Russian forces launched an Iskander-M ballistic missile, a Kh-59 guided cruise missile, and 151 jet-powered Shahed, Gerbera, Italmaz, and Banderol UAVs, along with Parodiya decoy drones, against Ukraine overnight on July 1.

Ukrainian air defense shot down or neutralized the Kh-59 missile and 130 enemy UAVs in the north, south, and east. 17 drones made impact in 16 locations, with debris from shot-down UAVs falling in four locations.

That same night, Russian forces struck five gas stations in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, killing one woman, while the city of Zaporizhzhya was also targeted in a separate attack.
