Russian drone strike damages Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council building, officials say

Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council Mykola Lukashuk said there were no casualties in the strike.

“All the destruction will be restored, repaired, and put back in order,” he said.

Lukashuk added that the Oblast Council’s emergency services are working to quickly eliminate the consequences of the strike and ensure uninterrupted operations.

Earlier, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Military Administration, Serhii Lysak, said infrastructure in Dnipro and nearby areas was hit. Damage was reported to an infrastructure facility, two administrative buildings, private and guest homes, an outbuilding, an unused structure, a vehicle, a gas pipeline, and a power line.

Lysak added that three people were injured in the Russian attack and received medical treatment.

Air raid alerts were issued in many regions of Ukraine overnight due to a large-scale Russian drone assault. In Kharkiv’s Novobavarskyi District, drone strikes killed five people whose bodies were pulled from the rubble. Another 35 were wounded.

Russian drones also targeted Zaporizhzhya Oblast, injuring one person. Two people were wounded in Kyiv Oblast, where large fires broke out.

According to Ukraine’s Air Force, Russia launched 78 Shahed-131/136 drones and various types of decoy drones at Ukraine overnight. Air defenses shot down 42 drones, while another 22 failed to reach their targets.
