Russian Shahed drone strikes Kharkiv-Izium train, injuring six people

The strike was recorded at 10 a.m. at a railway station near the village of Iskra. A Russian drone hit the rear of the train, causing a fire.
On Sept. 8, Russian forces attacked a Dnipro-Zaporizhzhia regional passenger train. Ukrzaliznytsia confirmed that a train attendant was killed in the Russian attack. According to the company, the woman returned to the train after an evacuation had been announced and a warning of heightened danger had been issued.
Also on Sept. 8, Russian forces carried out two targeted drone strikes on a Kyiv-Sumy passenger train as it approached Sumy. The train had been stopped in advance, and the passengers and locomotive crew were evacuated. No injuries were reported.
Russia later attacked Ukraine's railway system for a third time, striking a suburban diesel train in Sumy Oblast and injuring passengers.
On Sept. 5, Russian forces attacked a passenger train bound for Kherson near Chornobaivka. The strike damaged two diesel locomotives and injured two people. Twenty-one passengers and the train crew were evacuated.
