Russian troops attacked Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast on July 28, regional governor Serhiy Lysak reported on Telegram.
Eight people were injured in the attack. Two were treated on the spot, and six others were taken to hospitals.
Among the victims were two children – girls aged 1 and 10. They were diagnosed with acubarotrauma.

Russia launched artillery strikes on Nikopol at about 8:30 a.m., according to the police of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The shells hit five-story residential buildings.

A kiosk, gas pipeline, power lines and cars were also damaged. The total damage caused by the attack is being established, the police added.
Law enforcement officials said that on July 27, the Russian military also struck the Nikopol, Myrove, and Marhanets municipalities.
