According to Kiper, the hospital sustained damage to its facade, doors and more than 30 windows. At the time of the Russian attack, six mothers and their newborns were in the maternity ward, while another woman was in labor. None of the patients or medical staff were injured.
Earlier on June 1, Kiper said six people were injured in a large-scale drone attack on Odesa Oblast, which also damaged residential and industrial infrastructure. In Odesa, a Russian drone struck the first floor of a multi-story apartment building, partially destroying apartments, the facade and balconies from the first through fourth floors. Two people were injured.
Three more people were injured when drones struck residential buildings and damaged apartments. Authorities also reported hits on warehouses, a hangar containing wheat and an unused administrative building, where one person was injured.
Oleksandr Skalozub, secretary of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi City Council, said Russian strikes damaged administrative buildings and a healthcare facility in the city.
During the night of June 1, Russian forces launched 265 attack drones, including Shahed, Gerbera and Italmas drones, as well as Parodiya decoy drones, against Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, Ukrainian air defenses had shot down or suppressed 228 enemy drones across northern, southern and eastern regions of the country as of 8 a.m. Authorities reported 27 drone strikes at 18 locations, as well as debris from intercepted drones falling at 12 locations.
