"We have never had any weapons, missiles, or shells in our warehouse — never before and not now. Three hundred warehouse employees can attest to this," he said.

The fire, which broke out in the 3,000-square-meter warehouse following a morning Russian attack on Odesa with Iskander-K cruise missiles, was extinguished around noon. More than 90 firefighters and about 20 units from the State Emergency Service, along with a fire train from Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways), were involved in the operation.

A 19-year-old boy and two men, aged 50 and 58, were hospitalized in moderate condition.

This is not the first time the retailer's warehouses have been targeted. On June 14, 2023, a Russian missile hit its food warehouse in Odesa.

Tavria B is a national supermarket chain with 119 retail outlets and an online supermarket founded in 1992. It operates in Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, and Odesa oblasts. The company employs more than 5,000 people.

Earlier, on May 25, Russian forces targeted another Ukrainian retailer, the Epicenter hypermarket, in Kharkiv, killing 19 people. Since February 2022, seven Epicenter shopping centers have been completely destroyed in Mariupol, Chernihiv, Bucha, Nikopol, Kharkiv, and two in Kherson, with a total area exceeding 125,600 square meters.
