Russian strike hits facility of Ukrainian drone developer General Cherry

"We were prepared for such a scenario because we understand the reality in which we operate. Equipment and hardware can be replaced; people cannot. That is why we are grateful that all of our employees are alive and unharmed," the company said.

General Cherry stressed that production would continue despite Russian attacks.

"This is war. We were prepared for events like this. The enemy will not stop us. On the contrary, we will continue operating in turbo mode, 24/7, to respond as quickly and effectively as possible," company founder Yaroslav Hryshyn wrote.

He added that the company is currently assessing the damage.

Drones produced by the Zaporizhzhya-based miltech company General Cherry have already achieved notable results on the battlefield. According to the company, its General Cherry Air drones downed more than 1,000 Russian Molniya UAVs in December 2025 alone, accounting for roughly one-third of all drones of that type destroyed during the month. In March 2026, a General Cherry OPTIX FPV drone reportedly became the first Ukrainian FPV system to shoot down a Russian Ka-52 attack helicopter in Donetsk Oblast.

The company's newest drone, the General Cherry Air Speed, is now entering service and demonstrating its capabilities.
