Russian strike hits Chernihiv infrastructure, leaving city facing water supply disruptions

Head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration Dmytro Bryzhynskyi urged residents of the city to stay in safe places. Suspilne reported that as a result of Russia’s attack on Chernihiv after 2 p.m. on Sept. 25, about 29,000 customers in the city and parts of the Chernihiv district were left without electricity.

Ukraine’s Air Force had warned of enemy drones on the outskirts of Chernihiv.

On Sept. 25, Russians attacked Nizhyn in Chernihiv Oblast with Shahed drones, leaving about 30,000 subscribers of the Nizhyn community without power.

About 14 strike drones hit a critical infrastructure facility on the outskirts of the city, causing a fire.

Nizhyn also experienced water supply disruptions due to power outages at facilities, the Nizhyn water utility reported.
