Russian strikes on critical infrastructure in southern Ukraine have led
to emergency blackouts in Kherson Oblast, head of the Kherson
Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported on April 10.
Engineers are currently conducting emergency repairs to damaged equipment and some households have already been reconnected to the grid, he said.
Prokudin urged Kherson Oblast residents not to switch on all their electrical devices simultaneously as power returns.
Ukrenergo confirmed that Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts were experiencing power outages as of 11:30 a.m, due to a Russian missile strike on an energy infrastructure facility.
Earlier, a Russian missile strike hit Odesa Oblast, damaging the power grid in the region.
