Local authorities closed the skies over Kazan and Nizhnekamsk, and the airports were shut down. Later, TASS propaganda agency, citing Rosaviatsia, reported that the restrictions on airports had been lifted.
Drone attacks on Tatarstan
On April 17, NV sources reported that the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry (HUR) launched a drone attack on an aircraft plant in Tatarstan, where Tu-22M and Tu-160M bombers are manufactured and repaired.
Additionally, a fire occurred in the assembly shop at the main plant of the KamAZ corporation in Tatarstan on April 28.
On May 15, Russia announced the interception and "downing" of a drone over the village of Verkhniy Uslon in Tatarstan, located more than 1,000 kilometers from Ukraine.
NV's sources in HUR confirmed another UAV attack on Tatarstan on May 23. Details about the damage are still being clarified.
