Kharkiv hit by Su-34s from Belgorod Oblast

Russian troops shelled Kharkiv using Su-34 aircraft from Dubovoye in Belgorod Oblast, 25 km from the border, the regional Prosecutor's Office said on Aug. 30.

Authorities have determined that guided aerial bombs were launched from Dubove in Belgorod, 25 kilometers from the border, using Su-34 aircraft, the regional prosecutor said. Kharkiv police chief Volodymyr Tymoshko added that five UMPB D-30 shells were used in the attack.

On Aug. 30, Russian airstrikes injured at least 28 people and killed five, including a 14-year-old girl.

Following the attack, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy renewed his call for partners to permit strikes on Russian military bases.
