Russian invaders unable to advance near Hryshyne, face food and water shortages

The corps reported unsuccessful attempts by Russian forces to use fog and drizzle to conceal their advance in Hryshyne.

It stressed that Ukrainian troops are engaging enemy targets on approaches to the settlement.

According to preliminary data, the Defense Forces killed a company-level officer in the Hryshyne area, causing disorganization in Russian units and reducing their combat capability.

“The enemy complains about the inability to enter the settlement and advance within it without difficulty, experiencing shortages of water and food,” the statement said.

The 7th Corps added that it recorded attempts by occupying forces to move through Hryshyne in search of food.

On March 30, analysts from DeepState said the Russian army continues to exert active pressure on Hryshyne, gradually increasing the presence of its infantry in the settlement.

“Given the current dynamics of enemy pressure, the occupation of Hryshyne is a matter of time, as Russian forces are committing large amounts of manpower there, which is accumulating in Pokrovsk,” DeepState said.

On March 28, the 7th Air Assault Corps said Russian troops intensified their offensive in the Pokrovsk agglomeration, with small arms fighting ongoing in Hryshyne, but the Defense Forces are holding back attacks and destroying enemy forces and equipment.

On March 26, it was reported that Ukrainian troops repelled a large-scale Russian offensive in the areas of Hryshyne and Myrnohrad, thwarting attempts to break through defenses. Russian forces suffered losses in personnel and equipment in the fighting.
