Russian troops carry out artillery attack on Kherson hospital

Russian troops targeted a hospital in Kherson with Grad MLRS rockets, damaging the facility and ambulances, Kherson Military Administration reported on June 19.

The BM-21 "Grad" ( lit. 'hailstorm') is a self-propelled 122 mm multiple rocket launcher designed in the Soviet Union.

Russians fired at least three shells at the hospital, hitting a garage where ambulances were parked. Two vehicles sustained damage.

Explosion also shattered windows in the hospital building, fortunately, leading to no casualties, local officials added.

Russian military struck 19 settlements in Oblast over the past day. 

The attacks damaged residential buildings, a school campus, a factory, garages, and private vehicles. Two people were injured, Kherson Governor Oleksandr Prokudin reported earlier on June 19.

Prosecutors reported a deadly Russian attack on Kherson, killing a man in one of the city’s parks on June 18.
