Russian troops in occupied Luhansk plan to establish a training ground for teaching youth to operate unmanned aerial vehicles, Luhansk Regional Military Administration head Artem Lysohor said on Nov. 14.

The new training ground will be based at the Voin military sports training center, which has been operating in the city since 2024.

Luhansk Regional Military Administration head Artem Lysohor said more than 500 young men and women have completed courses there, with about 300 more currently enrolled.

The program includes military training, tactical medicine, and practical drone operation.

In February 2024, the National Resistance Center warned that Russian forces planned to introduce a UAV technology module in labor classes in occupied territories to teach children how to assemble drones.
