The report claims that the ban was issued 15 minutes before the 11 a.m. news broadcast, although the 10 a.m. broadcasts did cover the attack.
Regional channels were "asked not to focus" on the topic of the drone strike during their broadcasts, but "detailed information was left on their web resources," sources added. At the same time, there were no restrictions regarding Ukrainian drone strikes on Crimea.
Drones struck Moscow in the early hours of July 24, causing shattered windows and partial damage to building roofs. One UAV fell close to the Russian Defense Ministry, and another struck a business center.
Citing sources in Ukraine’s national security forces, Ukrainska Pravda reported the operation was carried out by Ukraine’s Military Intelligence.
This was not the first drone attack on Moscow. On May 30, drones crashed in five settlements in Moscow Oblast, resulting in damage to at least three high-rise buildings.
