Explosions were reported Oct. 14 evening in Russia’s Voronezh Oblast, with the Borisoglebsk military airfield seemingly being hit by Ukrainian missiles.

Russian Telegram channel Exilenova+ reported the incident. The channel said the airfield was targeted in a missile attack.

Earlier, Russian Telegram channels reported that missile threat alerts had been issued in several Russian regions. The warnings included Rostov-on-Don and the Volgograd, Voronezh, Orenburg, Ulyanovsk, and Samara Oblasts, as well as the republics of Chuvashia and Tatarstan.

Russian authorities had not reported the effects of the attack as of publication.

On July 10, reports said an attack on the Borisoglebsk airfield destroyed a storage facility for fuel and lubricants.

In July 2025, Ukraine’s General Staff reported that an enemy aircraft had been destroyed in an attack on the airfield.
