Russian forces attacked Dobropillya in Donetsk Oblast overnight into March 8, killing at least 11 people and wounding 30, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported on Telegram.
The strike hit eight five-story apartment buildings, an administrative building, and 30 cars, sparking fires in homes and the administrative structure, according to regional governor Vadym Filashkin.
“Russians struck the city three times overnight. Preliminary data shows four apartment buildings damaged, with five dead and 15 injured so far,” Filashkin said.
He noted final casualty and damage counts are still pending as rescuers, police, and emergency crews work the scene. He urged residents to evacuate to avoid deadly risks.
