An increase in enemy aerial reconnaissance using UAVs in the Kharkiv direction has been witnessed recently. The Russian troops are also bolstering their combat security posts near Sotnytskyi Kozachok.
"Russian army is gearing up for offensive actions with assault groups near Hlyboke,” the OTU officers said.
“They are replenishing supplies, trying to reinforce units that have suffered personnel losses, and conducting reconnaissance of potential deployment routes.”
“Russian forces have replaced units near Hatyshche during rotation."
The Kharkiv OTU also provided updated figures on the losses sustained by the Russian armyin Kharkiv sector.
"Russian losses over the past day amounted to 136 soldiers,” Ukrainian officers summarized.
“The enemy also lost 53 pieces of weaponry and military equipment, including one tank, 16 artillery systems, 10 vehicles, five pieces of special equipment, and 21 UAVs."
Russian offensive in Kharkiv Oblast
Russian troops had moved three assault groups to Vovchansk in Kharkiv Oblast to replenish their losses, Kharkiv Operational-Tactical Group reported on July 2.
Russia is attempting to regroup its units towards Lyptsi and Vovchansk in Kharkiv Oblast and is preparing units for attacks in these areas, the same group reported on July 13.
The Russian troops near Kharkiv are compelled to withdraw and rotate some divisions due to significant losses, 3rd Separate Assault Brigade's Deputy Commander Maksym Zhorin said on July 16.
The most active Russian operations are observed near Hlyboke and Vovchansk, where they are concentrating their efforts to advance, Khortytsia operational-strategic group spokesperson Nazar Voloshyn said on July 23.
