According to Haidai, most housing in the city is already in ruins due to relentless Russian shelling.
“On the night of April 16-17, incoming artillery shells set three high-rises on one street on fire, (with) another one close by,” said Haidai.
“Emergency services arrived at the site as soon as the attack subsided; numerous apartments were on fire; we’re gathering information about casualties.”
Ukraine’s Armed Forces earlier reported that the army had repelled ten enemy attacks in Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts in one day, destroying 15 tanks, three howitzers, 24 IFVs, and 10 Russian trucks.
