Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) drones struck two Russian ammunition depots in Bilokurakyne, temporarily occupied Luhansk, sources told NV on Aug. 19.

Officials reported that the settlement is located on a key railway line used to transport Russian ammunition to the front, including the Pokrovsk direction.

Preliminary data indicate that drones struck the depot area at least seven times. Explosions triggered a major fire, which was also recorded by the international FIRMS service, tracking fires in real time worldwide.

“The SBU continues systematic strikes in the enemy’s rear to reduce the offensive capabilities of the Russian army on the front. Destroying enemy ammunition directly helps our soldiers, who bravely repel Russian assaults. Demilitarization of enemy depots and equipment will continue,” the SBU said.

Earlier, SBU head Vasyl Malyuk said that since the start of the full-scale war, SBU units have destroyed more than 200 targets on Russian territory.

Among successful strikes with significant impact on the front, Malyuk cited an attack on a Russian ammunition depot in the settlement of Toropets, where one operation destroyed half of all 120mm mortar shells stored by Russian invaders.
