SBU downs Russian helicopter with FPV drone over Kursk Oblast

Special forces of Ukraine’s SBU security service shot down a Russian helicopter using an FPV drone over Russia’s Kursk Oblast on Aug. 6, a source within the special service told NV.

Soldiers from the SBU Special Operations Center "A" successfully downed a Russian Mi-28 helicopter using an FPV drone over Russia’s Kursk Oblast.

A video of the incident shows the SBU drone striking the rear rotor of the enemy helicopter.

"The SBU has once again demonstrated a high professional level, creative approach, and novelty of solutions used to destroy the enemy," said an informed source in the SBU.

"We still have many unexpected surprises for the Russians."

The press service of the Sumy Oblast Military Administration reported on Telegram that Ukrainian forces had destroyed a Russian helicopter near the border with Kursk Oblast that day, but no additional details were provided.
