Russian forces advanced near Yablunivka in Sumy Oblast and Hrodivka, Komar, Zaporizhzhya (a village in Pokrovsk district), and Fedorivka in Donetsk Oblast, the monitoring project DeepState reported on June 16.
Earlier, DeepState reported Russian gains on the Novopavlivka front in Donetsk Oblast.

On June 13, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukrainian forces halted Russian advances in Sumy Oblast, with fighting confined to a 7-kilometer depth from the border, mainly around Andriyivka, Kindrativka, Oleksiyivka, and Kostiantynivka.

On June 14, Zelenskyy reported the liberation of Andriyivka in Sumy Oblast, occupied since June 4.
Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service spokesperson Andriy Demchenko reported on June 16 that Russian activity in Sumy Oblast’s border area decreased.
