Police Chief Jana Maskarova stated that the deportation should occur "as soon as possible."
"Currently, the individual is at the Foreign and Border Police office, where the administrative expuslion procedure is ongoing," she said.
Reports indicate that the Slovak intelligence agency SIS (Slovenská Informačná Služba) was to release a report on the alleged "coup" to be reviewed in a defense committee meeting. However, the document was classified as secret.
Ukraine's Foreign Ministry told Interfax-Ukraine news agency that the Ukrainian Embassy in Slovakia quickly established contact with the detained person and his family. Consular officials are providing necessary assistance and coordinating with his personal lawyer.
“We emphasize the need for the Slovak side to comply with the legal rights and interests of the Ukrainian citizen,” the ministry stated.
“The Ukrainian Embassy in Slovakia has already reached out to Slovak authorities to clarify the detention's grounds.”
