Russia also hit an industrial enterprise in the Chernihiv district with Shahed drones, sparking a fire that rescuers extinguished.

Explosions heard in Chernihiv occurred on the city's outskirts in an industrial zone, with border settlements mainly affected, Chaus added.

Overnight into Oct. 24, Russia struck energy facilities in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad and Sumy oblats, leading to scheduled outages from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. in 12 regions.

Previous strikes have worsened conditions in Chernihiv Oblast and caused blackouts in the Sumy, Zaporizhzhya and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts. Emergency repairs continue.

Ukraine's Air Force said Russian forces used 128 UAVs against Ukraine overnight, with 72 neutralized.
