As of the evening of April 2, a sudden
squall left 276 Ukrainian towns and villages without electricity by damaging
power transmission lines, Ukraine’s Energy Ministry said.
The report said that the most significant damage was recorded in Kyiv Oblast, where approximately 34,200 consumers in 120 settlements were without power.
In Khmelnytskyi Oblast, power was cut off to 61 communities, affecting over 9,400 households in total.
In Zakarpattia Oblast, 42 villages with 10,000 consumers were left without power.
Meanwhile, in Zhytomyr Oblast, 32 settlements were cut off, and in Dnipropetrovsk — 21.
The ministry added that repair crews are working to stabilize the situation and restore power supply as quickly as possible.
