Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces Commander Robert “Magyar” Brovdi said he aims to roll out a “Standard 10” target for drone crews to sharply raise Russian losses, he told Ukrainska Pravda in an interview published on May 14.

According to him, an analysis showed that today the average in the Defense Forces is about three confirmed enemy hits per strike crew per month.

“That means something isn’t working, or something is working the wrong way. There is no sector of the front where you can’t destroy 10 occupiers in a month,” the USF commander said.

However, there is potential to grow, since USF crews of the same type are showing 15.2 Russian soldiers hit per month.

Magyar stressed that the Standard 10 program is purely about personnel.

“When there is no two‑legged occupier—worm, his bukhanka doesn’t drive, nor his pickup, nor his tank, nor his jalopy, nor his motorcycle, nothing. All that can be burned at any convenient moment,” he said.

The drone commander added that for now, the enemy moving in the tactical zone by vehicle has become an exotic sight. According to him, Ukrainian defenders have burned “all their equipment.”

He also emphasized that every UAV crew must be effective.

“If most crews reach 10 confirmed hits a month, we will be destroying twice as many as Russia can mobilize. In a few months they will choke on it,” the USF commander said.

According to Magyar, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have identified the enemy’s vulnerable point.

“Five months ago we felt out their weak spot, when for the first time in December we balanced arrivals/departures (troops) in the Russian army,” he explained. “Having reached this balance, a new understanding came that we are moving like a hamster in a wheel, endlessly: winter, spring, summer, fall, winter, spring, summer, fall.”

Robert Brovdi stressed that it is necessary to exploit Russia’s inability to scale up mobilization. He added this can be done by ramping up “the destruction of the most sensitive sore spot, hitting that bruise until it falls apart.”

As of the morning of May 14, 2026, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, total Russian losses were approximately 1,345,240 troops.

In January, Ukraine’s Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said one of Ukraine’s strategic goals in the war is to inflict up to 50,000 Russian losses per month.

On March 17, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia had lost nearly 100,000 soldiers at the front over the past three months. He said 90% of Russian losses at the front are caused by Ukrainian drones.

The head of state clarified that the Defense Forces eliminate as many Russian soldiers in a month as Russia conscripts, but the size of its grouping in Ukraine is still growing.

On May 4, the commander of the Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems, Robert “Magyar” Brovdi, said that for the fifth month in a row, starting in December 2025, the ratio between reinforcements and losses of Russian personnel has remained negative.

On May 5, President Zelenskyy reported significant Russian losses for the month, exceeding 35,000 killed and seriously wounded in April.
