Starlink has mostly recovered from the global network outage that lasted for nearly 2.5 hours late on July 24, affecting tens of thousands of users, including the Ukrainian military along the frontlines, according to Starlink Engineering at SpaceX Vice President Michael Nicolls X post.

“The outage was due to failure of key internal software services that operate the core network,” he wrote.

“We apologize for the temporary disruption in our service; we are deeply committed to providing a highly reliable network, and will fully root cause this issue and ensure it does not occur again.”

Shortly after the outage around 10:20 p.m. on July 24, Major Robert Brovdi (call sign Madyar), commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, reported that “Starlink went down across the entire front.”
