Seized assets under state management will be directed towards rehabilitation of veterans, Ukraine’s Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) announced on Jan. 20.

In particular, seized sanatoriums and resorts are to be transferred for military rehabilitation through a simplified procedure. The agency submitted a corresponding bill to the Ukrainian parliament.

Serhiy Kunitsyn, head of the Advisory Council on Veterans Affairs, has sent a letter to Ruslan Stefanchuk, the parliament’s Speaker, urging him to bring the bill to the floor as soon as possible.

Additionally, the bill proposes transferring industrial equipment that can be useful on the frontlines to the military immediately and without competition. Furthermore, it envisages support for veterans and their families in securing housing, temporary accommodation, and employment at enterprises managed by ARMA.

On Jan. 20, the Asset Recovery and Management Agency and the Advisory Council on Veterans Affairs signed a memorandum of cooperation.
