According to Hryhorov, the anti-drone nets are designed to complicate Russian aerial surveillance and shield logistics operations from drone attacks. He provided no further details on the initiative.
On June 13, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukrainian Defense Forces had halted Russian advances in the Sumy sector, with fighting occurring at a maximum depth of 7 kilometers from the border. He noted that the main battles were taking place near Andriyivka, Kindrativka, Oleksiyivka, and Kostiantynivka.
On June 14, Zelenskyy reported the liberation of Andriyivka in Sumy Oblast, which had been occupied by Russian forces since June 4.
On June 16, Andriy Demchenko, spokesperson for Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service, reported a decrease in Russian military activity in the Sumy Oblast border area.
