A drone fragment potentially containing explosives was discovered on a beach near the Olimp resort in Romania's Constanta County on the morning of August 26, local outlet Digi24 reported.
Beachgoers discovered the fragment washed ashore in Olimp, after which law enforcement officers cordoned off the area and restricted public access while experts determined the object's origin and checked for explosives.
Digi24 reported that an explosive charge may have been found inside the object, prompting authorities to dispatch naval bomb disposal experts.
Two suspicious objects were discovered in Constanta County, Romania, on August 16, with one later identified as a drone found approximately 1.5 kilometers off the coast of the Port of Tomis.
A drone fragment was also discovered on a beach in the Romanian resort of Costinești on August 14, which prompted authorities to restrict tourist access to part of the coast.
