Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko met with parliamentary committee leaders to discuss fast-tracking urgent legislation needed to secure continued funding from the European Union and the International Monetary Fund, the government reported on April 6.
The talks focused on advancing bills required under international support programs, including the EU’s Ukraine Facility and the IMF framework.
"To ensure stable international financing, Ukraine must complete its 'homework' and continue reforms," Svyrydenko said.
"The key role in this is shared between parliament and the government."
The discussions with lawmakers centered on the key provisions necessary to fulfill Ukraine’s commitments to its international partners and maintain the country's EU integration efforts.
Svyrydenko added that lawmakers agreed to place several urgent bills on the parliamentary agenda. Consultations will continue on other draft laws that still require further discussion.
