According to Fedorov, the funds will be directed toward digitalization in healthcare and education, as well as a comprehensive overhaul of the State Statistics Service. The memorandum was signed during a meeting between Fedorov and Felix Baumann, Switzerland's Ambassador to Ukraine. The document is an agreement with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) for the period from 2024 to 2028.
Under the agreement, the funding will be allocated for digitalization of public services in the following areas:
- Healthcare;
- Education;
- Electronic notary services;
- Humanitarian demining;
- The State Statistics Service.
The projects will be implemented under the EGAP Program, managed by the East Europe Foundation. The minister noted that Switzerland has supported digitalization in Ukraine through EGAP since 2015, contributing over CHF 30 million ($35 million).
Thanks to Swiss support, Ukraine has launched online marriage services, created the Mriya educational app for 40 schools, tested the Diia e-governance app for civil servants, and held the international Diia.Summit in Zurich, where a memorandum for the opening of a Govtech Center was signed in collaboration with the World Economic Forum.
