A technical failure in Poland’s Border Guard database disrupted operations at all Polish border crossings with Ukraine’s Lviv and Volyn oblasts, Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service said on Jan. 26.

Specialists are currently working to fix the malfunction.

Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service urged travelers to take the technical disruption into account when planning their trips.

The agency stressed that there is currently no buildup of vehicles in either the outbound or inbound directions.

Border guards said they will provide an additional update once full operations at the border crossing points are restored.

On Jan. 23, Polish farmers held a protest near the Dolhobychiuv–Uhryniv border crossing, adjacent to Ukraine’s Lviv Oblast. The road leading to the border was not blocked.

One of the protest participants said the goal of the action was to stop MERCOSUR and to halt imports of agricultural and food products from Ukraine into the European Union.
