DTEK announces power outages in two Kyiv districts due to technical malfunction

DTEK stated that a malfunction caused temporary power outages in parts of the Podilskyi and Obolonskyi districts.

The energy company reassured customers that utility workers are repairing the damage and power will be restored within the hour.

The Ministry of Energy reported that Russian strikes have caused temporary blackouts in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv Oblasts. Additionally, severe weather has cut power to 72 settlements across Ternopil, Chernihiv, and Kyiv Oblasts.

No scheduled blackouts are planned for July 14, though residents are advised to shift energy-intensive consumption to the off-peak hours between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

DTEK reported on June 2 that Russia’s mass airstrike on Kyiv had left parts of the city without power.
