The nature of the operation indicates extensive planning by Hamas. More precisely, by their Iranian instructors

Be that as it may, there is a fact in addition to the capture of the base of an IDF division (with a photo of trophy equipment), there are street battles in Israeli cities.

Information-wise, Israel has lost so far. It is not about the "Western world" - these countries are not the target group. For the Arab states, a picture has been created that "guerrillas" can defeat the Israeli army. The image of a formidable and almost invincible Israeli force has cracked. Given the chosen pretext for activation – the gates of the Al-Aqsa Mosque (one of the three main shrines of Islam) broken down by Israeli radicals and the "performance of rituals" and tourists' presence on the Temple Mount - Hamas' activation is seen as a kind of "defense of the faith." Even the Turks and Saudis, who were restrained in their initial assessments, were forced to emphasize in their statements the inadmissibility of the desecration of Islamic shrines.

What else did the attack lead to?

Intelligence. Iran received excellent information on Israeli security forces' response protocols and weaknesses in such algorithms.

Political results (intermediate). The planned dialog between Israel and Saudi Arabia and between Israel and the UAE will likely be put on hold. Against the backdrop of the thawing of these countries' relations with Iran, Tehran comes out ahead. A ground operation will inevitably lead to a large number of casualties among the residents of the Gaza Strip. This will naturally increase anti-Israeli sentiment in the Arab world. Simply put, the longer the war lasts, the less likely Israel's long-standing disputes with the Arab monarchies will be resolved.

If the conflict drags on, there is a possibility of its escalation

In addition, regardless of its results, the ground operation in the Gaza Strip will increase radical sentiment among Palestinians. Here, it is appropriate to mention the crisis of Fatah led by Mahmoud Abbas. This is the West Bank, and the weakening of Tel Aviv's partners in the peace process will inevitably lead to a vacuum filled by more radical political forces.

For Israel itself, the outcome of the war (and the events can already be called a war) may result in significant reshuffling of the government and leadership of the military bloc.

Can Israel regain ground? Yes, it can. But it will require a demonstrably powerful and fast-paced operation – a few days at most. Again, we return to the role of Iran. Tomorrow morning will show a lot. Suppose Hamas fighters suddenly master the Israeli armored vehicles they seized and use them against the IDF. In that case, this will be almost direct evidence that highly professional Iranian military experts are in their ranks.

If the conflict drags on, there is a possibility of its escalation. In particular, it could escalate into a regional war.

Meanwhile, the massive rocket attack showed the limits of the strength of the Israeli Iron Dome. Any air defense system can be overloaded with enough targets. Let's not forget about the West Bank, where the situation for Israel is much more complicated. This includes the territory, the population, and Israeli settlements on Arab territory that need to be protected.

What are the consequences for Ukraine? So far, we can state one thing: the topic of the Russian-Ukrainian war has dropped off the media agenda for at least a week. It will be possible to return even to the conditional secondary importance in three cases: an openly shocking war crime by the Russian Federation, events at the front (a large-scale success of either side), or the long and painstaking work of Ukrainian diplomats and media professionals. Disappearance from the agenda does not give an immediate result, but it significantly complicates lobbying for increased assistance to Ukraine.
