The poll found that 44% of respondents said they either “strongly” or “somewhat” approve of Trump’s job performance, down from 47% last year. Conversely, 54% expressed disapproval, up from 51% in March 2025.

A polling average from Decision Desk HQ places Trump’s approval rating at 43.1% and his disapproval at 54.4%.
The NBC News survey also measured approval on specific policy areas: 53% supported Trump’s work on border security, 44% on immigration, and 41% on the Iran war.
The poll was conducted from Feb, 27 to March 3, surveyed 1,000 registered voters, and carries a margin of error of 3.1%.
