According to the official project website, 200 million coins will be released on the first day, with the total number increasing to 1 billion over three years.
Within the first hour of its launch, the market capitalization of $TRUMP reached $3 billion, and within an hour and a half, it surpassed $4 billion.
The cryptocurrency's website is designed in Trump's signature style and features his phrase "Fight, fight, fight," which he uttered after the assassination attempt in July 2024.
Previously, Trump had referred to cryptocurrencies as a scam but changed his stance during his election campaign. He now promises to make the United States the "global capital of cryptocurrency" and to bolster national reserves with Bitcoin.
On Dec. 6, 2024, Trump nominated entrepreneur and investor David Sacks as the official responsible for the nation's policy on artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency.
