Russian forces launched 48 Shahed-type attack and imitation drones and fired four Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles at Ukraine overnight, the Air Force reported on Telegram on Aug. 12.
The drone attack was primarily focused on Sumy and Donetsk oblasts, while the missiles targeted Chernihiv Oblast.
Thirty-six enemy drones were intercepted by air defense forces, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups over the northern and eastern regions of Ukraine.
Twelve drones and three missiles targeted seven sites across the country.
Earlier that day, the Army reported that one Ukrainian soldier was killed and at least eleven others were injured in an overnight missile strike with a cluster warhead on a military training facility.
