Russian forces
launched 176 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of attack drones at
Ukraine overnight from multiple locations in Russia and temporarily occupied
territories, the Air Force reported on Telegram on April 8.
As of the morning, Ukrainian air defenses, aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups had shot down or suppressed 146 of the drones across the north, south, and east of the country.
Twenty-four of the enemy drones targeted 12 sites across Ukraine.
The assault is ongoing with several Russian drones remaining in Ukrainian airspace.
