Two energy workers killed in Odesa Oblast during Russian attack — Ukrenergo

The victims were identified as Dmytro Kaminsky and Maksym Shargorodskyi.

Kaminsky, 41, had worked at Ukrenergo for 16 years. He was killed at the substation where he worked as a dispatcher. He is survived by a 10-year-old daughter.

Shargorodskyi, 44, had worked at the substation since 2005 as an electrical fitter, later becoming a dispatcher. He left behind a 14-year-old daughter, according to Ukrenergo.

The Energy Ministry’s Facebook page confirmed that the men worked at a Ukrenergo substation in Odesa Oblast, which was directly hit by an enemy strike on Nov. 17.

Earlier, Odesa Oblast Military Administration head Oleh Kiper reported that two people were killed and a 17-year-old boy was injured in the attack.

For a combined assault, Russian occupiers used strike drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles.

Explosions were heard overnight and in the morning across Ukraine, including in Kyiv, Zaporizhzhya, Mykolaiv, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Odesa, Vinnytsia, Rivne, Poltava, and in the western regions of Lviv, Zakarpattia, and Ivano-Frankivsk.

In total, the enemy launched about 120 missiles and 90 drones, destroying more than 140 targets. F-16 aircraft helped repel the attack. This was the largest strike since Aug. 26, 2024, when Russia launched 236 drones and missiles.
