At least two
explosions were reported in the northeastern Ukrainian city of Sumy in the overnight Russian attack, public broadcaster Suspilne reported on Telegram
early on Aug. 13.
The attack triggered an air raid alert that has been in effect for more than 9 hours already.
The first explosion was reported at 4:13 a.m. EET.
At least one civilian was hospitalized after the Russian attack on Sumy, regional governor Oleksii Drozdenko reported, adding that the city also faced temporary gas and power outages.
30 of 38 Shahed kamikaze drones launched by Russia in several groups were shot down overnight, a morning report by Ukrainian Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk wrote.
