Two killed in Abu Dhabi after debris from intercepted Iranian missile falls

Earlier in the day, the country’s Defense Ministry said air defense forces were repelling Iranian missile and drone attacks. Iran also carried out attacks on March 26 in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Bahrain, The New York Times reported.

On March 16, UAE authorities reported a fire at one of the world’s largest oil and gas fields, Shah, following a drone strike. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, in turn, claimed it had targeted hangars housing U.S. fighter jets in the UAE.

On March 23, U.S. President Donald Trump said the United States and Iran were holding talks to end the war and that there were “important points of contact” between the sides. Trump later said Iran is “very eager” to reach a deal with the United States but is “afraid to say so openly.”

The New York Times reported that the United States sent Iran a 15-point plan to end the war. According to the report, the White House aims to end the war by April 9.
