Trump’s special envoy Keith Kellogg arrives in Kyiv for official talks

U.S. President’s Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, arrived in Ukraine on an official visit, Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak announced on Telegram on July 14.

"Defense, strengthening security, weapons, sanctions, protecting our people, and enhancing cooperation between Ukraine and the United States — there are many topics for discussion," Andriy Yermak, head of the Ukrainian President’s Office, wrote on Telegram, sharing footage of Keith Kellogg’s arrival at a Kyiv train station.

"Russia does not want to cease fire. Peace through force is the principle of U.S. President Donald Trump, and we support this approach," Yermak added.

On July 11, Kellogg announced that he would arrive in Kyiv on July 14, and remain in the capital for a week.

Kellogg last visited Kyiv on Feb. 19.

On July 9, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Kellogg in Rome. The U.S. president’s special representative was part of the American delegation at the International Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine, held in the Italian capital on July 10–11.

Zelenskyy said the two discussed weapons supplies, strengthening Ukraine’s air defense, and purchasing arms from the United States. They also talked about joint defense production and its localization in Ukraine, as well as the tightening of sanctions against Russia.
