U.S. expands sanctions against ICC

The United States has imposed sanctions on International Criminal Court (ICC) President Tomoko Akane and senior legal adviser Abdoulaye Seye, the U.S. Treasury Department announced on Aug. 18.

Akane and Seye were added to the Treasury’s Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List, which identifies people subject to U.S. sanctions.
