Italy kicked off the 2026 Winter Olympic Games with opening
ceremonies at San Siro Stadium in Milan on Feb. 6, with parallel ceremonies and
athlete parades also taking place in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Predazzo, and Livigno.

Ninety-two national teams entered in alphabetical order,
with Greece leading the procession in keeping with Olympic tradition. Ukraine
marched 85th.

Short track speedskater Yelyzaveta Sydorko carried the Ukrainian
flag at San Siro. In Cortina d’Ampezzo, skeleton racer Vladyslav Heraskevych
was the flag bearer. Snowboarder Annamari Dancha led the delegation in Livigno,
and ski jumper Yevhen Marusiak carried the banner in Predazzo.

A total of 46 Ukrainian athletes will be competing in the games.
Some events have already begun, and medals will be awarded starting Feb. 7.
