Ukrainian drones target Russian Morozovsk airbase, causing heavy damage

The Ukrainian Armed Forces used at least 70 drones to attack the Russian Morozovsk air base during an overnight operation, Ukrainian Defense Intelligence (HUR) chief Kyrylo Budanov told The War Zone on June 14.
The operation was launched from the territory of Ukraine, with at least 70 Ukrainian Dragon and Splash drones striking the airfield.
Damage assessment is currently underway, the spymaster said.
Images from Planet Labs show damage to the roof of a hangar on the maintenance apron, with two Su-34 fighter-bombers visible inside.
Locals reported explosions in Morozovsk, Rostov Oblast, on June 14.
A fire broke out in the town. Rostov regional governor Vasily Golubev claimed that air defense forces had "successfully repelled" a massive UAV attack in Rostov Oblast. However, residents in several streets in Morozovsk lost power after the UAV attack.
