He made this statement highlighting that network operators and local power companies are currently unable to provide clear answers about the situation.
“If your local network operators or power companies can't provide immediate answers, don’t blame them—they are limited both in information and actions,"he wrote.
"They receive instructions from the central dispatch center.”
According to Kucherenko, only the national power operator, Ukrenergo, has a somewhat clearer understanding of the situation, though it remains complex and dependent on multiple factors.
Yuriy Boyko, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal's advisor identified two main reasons for the widespread power outages across Ukraine following the Russian strikes. He mentioned that it will take time to assess all the damage to the energy infrastructure.
Prime Minister Shmyhal confirmed that 15 oblasts were affected by the attack, with energy infrastructure once again being targeted.
Ukrenergo initially implemented emergency power outages and is now transitioning to scheduled outages, which were not anticipated to resume until October as no power shortage was expected.
These outages had been halted since July 30, except for a few days in August.
